Rory James Leech is a producer, director, and performer originally from the United Kingdom, raised in Houston, Texas, currently based in Los Angeles, California. He is the founder and artistic director of Misfit Toys Collective, a performance collective dedicated to making art by and for gen z. He has worked at Houston’s Rec Room Arts, where he served as Creative Producer, Resident Dramaturg and Company Associate, at Lemonada Media, where he produced award winning investigative journalism podcast Believe Her, and at the Center for New Performance. In 2017, He was honored as an Arts Activist by the Dramatists Guild of America. He is a graduate of Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, and is finishing his Bachelor’s degree at California Institute of the Arts.
